Karen has overseen weddings at Solton Manor for more than 10 years and in that time has helped hundreds of brides and grooms realise their perfect day. Here are her tips on how to have the best wedding at Solton Manor:
Take your time: “Solton Manor is such a magical setting and wedding days here should not be rushed. We work with our couples as early as possible to put together a timeline for their day so that there is plenty of time for everything they want to include.”
Have a photo break: “Try to take a photo break after the wedding breakfast and before the arrival of evening guests. There are some delightful settings to capture extra special portraits of the Bride and Groom throughout the Solton Manor Estate. ‘Secret’ photo spots include the old chapel ruins and arbours, the woodland walks and the wildlife lake.”
Make it personal: “Every wedding at Solton Manor is amazing but it is always extra special when couples include things that they love doing together, such as travelling, music, sport or some other pastime. There are always ways of bringing little ideas into your day and we love to help couples plan those special touches.”

Karl & Tom
Caretaker and GroundsmanKarl and Tom take care of every aspect of estate maintenance. Head caretaker Karl has worked at Solton Manor for 13 years, and alongside groundsman Tom, they make sure the estate is running at its very best and that the gardens and lawns are nice and trim and in perfect condition for all of our weddings and events. They also assist with moving furniture and heavy objects and getting everything set up in preparation for weddings and events.
Bar Staff
Bar StaffWe have regular event staff working in the bar, including the familiar faces of Will, Evie and Lee. As well as working the bar, they serve post ceremony drinks and wedding breakfast drinks to guests, whether that’s on the lawn in front of the manor house or in our Dutch Barn.
Our bar staff come as part of our wedding packages. The benefit of using regular bar and service staff is that they know how everything operates at Solton Manor so you can expect a smooth and seamless delivery for your guests.
