  • Drinks & Catering
    • What food and drink is included?

      There are various catering and drinks packages for you to choose from according to your budget and style. Please do get in touch to discuss any additional requirements. Our Food & Drink page has more details about drink options.

    • Can I provide my own drinks?

      There is the option to provide your own drinks subject to a corkage charge. Or you can choose from our wine and drinks list which includes drinks from local vineyards and distilleries.

  • Payments
    • What deposit do you require?

      For weddings, we require 30% deposit to secure the day.  Then a 35% interim payment due six months before the day and a final payment due one month before.
      Or you can take advantage of our monthly instalment payment system, making it easier to spread the cost of your wedding.

    • What is your cancellation policy?

      All cancellations must be in writing to Solton Manor, Solton Lane, East Langdon, Dover, CT15 5JB or by email to wedding [email protected].
      If written cancellation is received more than 6 clear calendar months prior to the event, only the deposit shall be forfeited by the client.
      If written cancellation is received less than 6 clear calendar months prior to the event, all payments shall be forfeited by the client.
      If you are paying by monthly instalments, all monies paid shall be forfeited by the client.
      You are advised to take out wedding insurance to cover cancellation and other contingencies preventing the wedding from taking place.

    • What is included in your price?

      We have a number of wedding packages to suit all budgets. If you have further questions, please do get in touch with our wedding planning team.

    • Is there parking on site overnight?

      There is plenty of parking for all guests at the venue and cars can be left overnight. We ask that all cars are collected by 10am the following day.

  • The Wedding Ceremony
    • Can we have a church ceremony?

      There are a number of historic churches within a few miles of the estate so a church wedding is an option. The beautiful, ancient church of St Augustines in East Langdon is just ½ a mile down the road and can seat 80 people. The nearest Catholic Church is St Paul’s in Dover just 3 miles away and can hold over 200 people.

  • The Wedding Reception
    • Do you provide tables and chairs?

      We provide all the equipment you will need for your wedding breakfast, including tables and chairs in whatever configuration you prefer. We also supply linen, glasses, crockery and cutlery and a cake table and knife.

    • When can we start decorating the Dutch Barn wedding venue?

      If we don’t have a wedding the day before, you are welcome to dress the barn then. If we have a wedding the day before your wedding date, we will provide help to set up the Dutch Barn from as early as 7am. Dovecote Cottage will also be available from 7am for the bridal party to start getting ready.
