Twilight Weddings are a popular choice for couples who want a wedding full of charm, elegance, and unforgettable moments but want to avoid the traditional wedding formalities and save money on food and drink by skipping the sit-down meal and having a mega party.

With the flexibility to customise your celebration, the Twilight Wedding Package is perfect for couples who want to celebrate in style while embracing the beauty of the evening at Solton Manor and then stay overnight in either the dovecote included in the package or upgrade to the manor house.

What's Included:

  • Exclusive Use of Solton Manor Estate: From midday and into the evening, enjoy exclusive access to Solton Manor’s stunning grounds and historic venue, which will provide the perfect backdrop for your twilight wedding. 
  • Getting Ready: Get ready in the Pamper Suite for partner one and the Dovecote Cottage for partner two.
  • Beautiful Ceremony Setup: Say “I do” outside in Godric’s Garden, Finet’s Woodland Glade or inside (from April 2025) the Old Stables, with weddings or blessings typically taking place at around 5 pm 
  • Drinks Reception: 
    • During British Summer-time after your ceremony, celebrate with a selection of drinks for you and your guests on the lawn in front of the mansion served on a cart. Choose from bubbles, Pimms, or soft drinks to begin the evening on a celebratory note. Or we can open up the converted pay as you go Horse Box Bar. 
    • Outside of British Summer-time, after your group photos and confetti shot, return to the Old Stables for a drinks reception.  Choose from bubbles, Pimms, or soft drinks to begin the evening on a celebratory note. 
  • Decorative Lighting: Elegant lighting, including fairy lights and faux candles placed throughout the venue, captures the magic of twilight and brings a dreamy glow to your special evening.
  • Full Moon Arch: For you or your florist to decorate
  • On-Site Wedding Coordinator: Our experienced wedding coordinator will be with you every step of the way, ensuring your twilight wedding flows seamlessly and allowing you to relax and savour every moment.
  • Evening Dining Options: For your wedding meal, work with Invita Food Design to enjoy a relaxed yet elegant dining experience with options including:
    • The best value buffet 
    • A gourmet BBQ
    • A selection of grazing platters
    • A family favourite, Hogroast
  • Photographer Access: Capture the beauty of your twilight wedding with access to Solton Manor’s most scenic areas, including the gardens and walks in the meadow, woodland path and around the lake to give you those perfect Golden Hour moments.
  • Luxury Honeymoon Dovecote: After your celebration, retreat to our luxurious Dovecote for a peaceful and romantic night together. The next day, wake up to the beautiful surroundings of Solton Manor or rent the Manor House, which includes a stunning honeymoon suite and nine bedrooms.

Couples and their close family and friends, can stay overnight in the Manor House and Dovecote for up to 28 guests.

What is the perfect timeline for a Twilight Wedding at Solton Manor?

  • Midday – Partner one arrives at Solton Manor to get ready in the Pamper Suite within the East wing of the ancient Grade 11 listed Manor House
  • Midday – Partner two arrives and checks into the Dovecote Cottage next to the lily pond
  • 4 pm – Guests arrive for a 4:45 pm seating
  • 5 pm – for ceremonies for up to 130 guests, choose from three licensed ceremony areas during British Summer Time: 
    • Outside in Godric’s Garden
    • The soon-to-be whimsical woodland, Finet’s Glade
    • The soon-to-be Old Stables

For smaller guest numbers up to 50, you can also marry inside the Solton Manor House. 

  • 5:30 to 5:40 pm – Enjoy a drinks reception and photos on the manicured lawn outside the Manor House, or drinks in the Old Stables
  • 8 pm – Evening Buffet
  • 9 pm – Don’t forget to include some Sparkler Magic followed by dancing until midnight
  • Retire to the Dovecote for a night stay or book the Manor House for you and your guests
  • Music off at Midnight
  • Check out of the Dovecote at 12 midday the following day.

At Solton Manor, we offer Twilight Weddings from Sunday to Wednesday only.

Don’t forget to include:

  • Sparkler Send-Off: Create a magical moment by ending the night with a sparkler send-off, lighting up the evening as you walk hand-in-hand as newlyweds.
  • Fire Pit & Marshmallow Station: Add a cosy touch to your evening with a fire pit provided by Kent Fire Pit Co., where you and your guests can gather to toast marshmallows under the stars.
