Bold colour combinations

Goodbye pastels, hello bold blooms! These trending wedding flowers have been gaining momentum over the past few years, with more weddings than ever before embracing a world of vibrant floral colour palettes. Energise your wedding bouquets, centrepiece blooms and floral installations with some fun pops of colour; think rich red roses, deep purple dahlias and sunshine-yellow carnations contrasted with lush greenery. These visually striking floral arrangements are guaranteed to be the talking point of any wedding ceremony or reception.

Statement floral installations

In a world where extravagance reigns supreme, we are witnessing a rapid rise in statement floral installations that are sure to leave your guests impressed. From elaborate flower arches to full-scale hanging installations, many couples are now opting for eye-catching floral arrangements that command their guests’ attention.

You’ll be glad to hear that following this trend doesn’t need to be outrageously expensive, however. Focusing your statement floral installations within one specific area can help all you budget-conscious couples out there save time, money and resources.

Sustainably sourced blooms

The increasing movement towards sustainability has now found its way into the wedding flower industry. Modern eco-conscious couples are now incorporating sustainably sourced, in-season blooms within their floral arrangements. Peonies, freesias and delphiniums are the ideal sustainable choice for summer weddings, with roses, amaryllis and orchids making an appearance in winter weddings.

Many couples are also looking to work with wedding florists who specialise in sustainable practices; take The Flower Shed, for instance. Their stunning floral arrangements are inspired by the beautiful English countryside, with all blooms being sourced from local wedding flower suppliers in Kent.

Texture-rich blooms

We predict that diverse textures and shapes will take centre stage in 2025’s wedding floral arrangements. Whether you opt for a neutral or more vibrant colour palette, look to incorporate texture for added depth and dimension.

Today’s florists are combining silky-soft blooms with spiky foliage to create the most show-stopping displays, including Flowers by EG. They play with diverse textures and consider the size and shape of every petal within each individual arrangement, bringing you some truly magnificent floral works of art.

Exotic floral mixes

In 2025, we predict that we will see an increase in unconventional floral mixes. Traditional familiar favourites pair with exotic blooms to create dazzling arrangements that are as unique as your relationship. Think soft red roses combined with sky-blue orchids, or classic white hydrangeas coupled with fragrant lavender. Once you’ve selected your exotic floral combinations, choose some accompanying broken foliage or lush greenery to add texture and volume to your arrangement.

Minimalist flower arrangements

We are also seeing a movement towards more minimalist floral arrangements. Ask your florist to design intentionally sparse bouquets with a limited colour palette and just a handful of blooms, or incorporate single cut flowers within clear glass vases on your reception tables.

As well as shifting the focus onto the simplistic and timeless beauty of each flower, this is often a more cost-effective option if you have a tighter budget, as less fresh flowers will need to be sourced. Emily & Me is one of our favourite local florists, offering the best minimalist and affordable wedding flower packages in Kent.

Monochromatic colour palettes

This fascinating colour movement is one of our favourite wedding flower trends for 2025. It involves basing the overall floral design on varying shades of a single colour to create a harmonious and cohesive look. Start by choosing a colour that complements your wedding theme and selecting some fresh flowers that fit your palette.

Styled to Remember experiments with different textures, shapes and sizes to jazz up your arrangements, giving each bridal bouquet a sophisticated and visually interesting appeal. Their fresh and silk wedding flowers in Kent all look fantastic when arranged in monochromatic colour palettes.
