Seasonal country manor house wedding ideas
Celebrate in spring with a symphony of blossoms
Make the most of Solton Manor’s stunning indoor and outdoor areas with a springtime wedding. Begin by hosting your indoor ceremony in the brand new Old Stables or the Dutch Barn, surrounded by fresh spring florals and leafy greens. You could decorate the aisle with pastel floral arrangements to reflect the fun, airy tones of the season, before switching to light linens and delicate tableware for your wedding reception.
Our wedding guru Jackie, who is also a qualified florist, is our go-to person about all things floral. For spring, she loves hand-tied bouquets of white roses, anemones, eucalyptus and delicate ferns. For bud vases, she suggests snowflakes, freesia (popular for their wonderful scent), tulips and delicate hellebores – or for taller vases on plinths, she recommends pussy willow, twisted hazel and snowberry. However, if you want a splash of colour, yellow and spring blue combinations of daffodils, primroses, bluebells, veronica longifolia and grape hyacinths always go down a treat.
Seasonal menus truly shine during springtime. Our experienced wedding caterers can craft a delectable wedding breakfast that showcases the best of the season, with locally sourced Kentish asparagus tartlets, roasted lamb, fresh garden greens, and elderflower-infused desserts.
Once the wedding breakfast is over, head outside to our beautiful grounds for those all-important wedding photos. Our country manor house wedding venue truly comes to life at springtime, with tulips, daffodils, and delicate fruit blossom trees gracing our nine acres of idyllic gardens. As the longer daylight hours begin to make their return, a golden-hour photo session amongst the blooming gardens is a must.
